A Look Back at the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum
The 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) has come to a close. This year’s HLF took place from September 18 to 23. It brought together more than two dozen laureates of the most prestigious prizes in mathematics and computer science with 200 of the brightest young researchers of the next generation of those disciplines. The week featured a host of fascinating talks, panels and interactive formats where the most cutting-edge issues relating to mathematics and computer science were discussed among peers, such as deep learning, quantum computing and science communication. The HLF provided the space and time for leading researchers in their fields to interact, share ideas, network and form lasting connections that promise to develop into fruitful collaborations.
